Default MPG drop-off

i have a '08 pacifica touring. i used to get anywhere from 350-400 miles to a tank of gas but recently it has dropped down to 200 miles per tank. i was wondering if living in the extreme cold here in fairbanks, AK has an effect on getting terrible gas mileage. i have checked to make sure that the tank is emptying properly, (evenly), and it does. so i know its not running on a half a tank all the time. i do idle it when i go into grocery stores for short periods and i am well aware of its effect on mileage but for it to drop down that bad has me concerned something else is wrong. any thought would be helpfull

Winter driving VS Summer driving. Winter is and will always be harder on gas. The heat is always on. Also, when I put my winter tires on, there are mounted on steel rims VS my summer tires that are on the original Chrysler alloys rims. Steels are heavier than alloy, keep that in mind. So yes its entirely normal for it to drop during the winter

Very normal to drop MPG ratings in winter but to drop 50% sounds drastic.

May need some maintenance, ie. tune up, PCV valve, MAP sensor, etc.
