Just picked up a 2007 Pacifica with 21K miles on it for 15K + taxes (caeme out to be more) but man i love this thing already. I checked the VIN # and it has a recall on it...

http://www.potamkinmitsubishi.com/vehicle.asp?v=822135

The recall is for:

EMISSIONS RECALL J16 – Reprogram Powertrain Control Module

Chrysler has determined that some 2007 model year Chrysler Pacifica vehicles equipped with a 4.0L
engine may release air pollutants which could exceed California standards.

Congrats. You should be able to go to any Chrysler dealer and have them do any recall fix free of charge.

Extended warranty wouldn't have help me with:
100$ new battery
1200$ winter tires+rims
400$ dvd monitors
1125$ new summer tires
in the first 6 months

;-)

but seriously, that recall is minor, and any recalls are covered by the manufacturer by law.

PTU and rear differential and overrunning clutch. Follow your maintenance schedule and change and check ALL fluids. The oil change guys don't know there are extra fluids to check.

Dedicated winter tires are required by law here in Quebec, Canada, from Dec. 15 to March 15. This is a new law that came into effect last year.

We bought the car used, and it was equipped with the stock Michelin MXM4s with 97000 kms on them (59k miles)

So I got Firestone winterforce with 17" steel rims (people here call these winter rims, because you get to keep your good rims for summer) and I'm getting some 19" Yokohamas for summer.
