Default Non interference engine damage

My Pacifica is in the shop and the mechanic states that my engine needs a head job because I tried to start it too many time with no gas supply? Is this possible or am I being lied to?

That sounds fishy to me.
I could've sworn that all the V6s were non interference engines, which means that if the timing belt breaks the pistons won't hit any open valves, which would keep from breaking valve stems and denting pistons and such.
Lack of a supply of fuel shouldn't cause any issues that I'm aware of, and I've been turning wrenches since 1985.

That being said......
It wouldn't be the first time I was wrong....
But please don't tell my wife. LOL

yeah thats a no go. if he thinks there is low compression from valve damages do a compression test. the belt would need to break before any valves would be damaged. simple has spark has fuel issue
