Default Odometer fraud?

I recently purchased a 2018 Pacifica Touring L model. The odometer shows 27,155 miles, however, the trip information system built into the GPS is showing 44,812 miles. Not sure what is going on with the mis-match. The 44k figure is almost an exact multiple of MPH converted to KMH but not exact. I'm sure the dealer could probably plug in to the ECU and figure it out but, for now, I'm trying to avoid that. Has anyone ever seen this before?

Thanks in advance for any help.

That would be a bit perplexing.
Can't say for sure, but I'll offer 2 possibilities.
(1) Are you sure the odometer reading is just that or a LONG un reset trip meter reading?
(2) Electrical problems do crop up in NEW vehicles, it MAY be possible that one of the computers that stores actual mileage was replaced without proper programming of actual mileage at the time it MAY have been replaced.
This is something that going back to the DEALER you got the vehicle from should do a repair history check on, as this would most definitely have been a warranty repair and records of it will have been done thru FCA database.

Yes I agree that the Km conversion comes up 1,000 miles short and why I SURMISE the possibilities posted.
How "recently" is this and how many MILES have been driven from time of your purchase of the vehicle?

So I checked my 2019 Grand Cherokee Upland and found the exact same issue where the odometer and trip history mileage disagree. The Jeep is only a couple thousand miles high on the history but I have zero concern since I bought this car brand new. At this point I'm going to reset the info on the Pacifica and see what happens. On my first trip to the dealer, I'll have them verify it as correct, but I'm guessing it's a Chrysler glitch causing this.

Thanks for the comments.
