Default Oil Light

I have a 2005 AWD Touring last night the oil light came on then went off. It then continued to go on when slowing or stopping. It was due for oil change so after changing oil the light went off. After warming up a bit it came on again and continued to go off and on throughout the morning. On the ride home from work it then stayed on. The oil levels are all good and the check engine light did not come on at all.

I saw that someone had the same issue and replaced the oil sending unit. Did the sggestions from Moe solve your problems or did you have to try something else?

Most common problem would be the oil pressure switch. A master guage test would be the best way to eliminate engine problems,but a switch is easy and cheap to replace.

I am having trouble gettingthe oil pressure switchout. Do you have any suggestions or is there a trick to it?
