Default OVERHEATING

Had an interesting experiance on our on going trip to Alaska. After traveling about 1,200 miles from South Dakota to Banff BC our 2007 Pac Touring 4.0 overheated. After a Chrysler dealership checked it over the problem was "vapor lock/air lock which the tech said forced the coolant out the overflow. He purged the system and reinstalled collant after which we travel 500 miles today with no problem. In fact I think the Pac ran cooler than it ever had.

Has anyone else had this experience? What could have caused that? [:-]
