Thanks for the information! About 2 hours and less than $6 at Radio Shack and I now have EVIC for the first time since we've owned the car! Only took me 2.5 years to get to a point where I wanted to fix it. Thanks again all.

Guess I've been gone for awhile. Good for you russ. How exactly did you do it? I mean is the fuse easy to notice and replace?

Thanks

Barbara2 I still haven't had enough time to rip out the entire dash. I would love to see the other way also.

Default To Nslack, et all

What we did different was that we soldered wires to each side of the original fuse that was long enough to hang down lower under the dash and connected to a glass fuse holder for easy replacement. Used a quality 1/2 amp fuse only and expected several to blow out while finding the problem since other things are tied into the evic like the problematic tire sensors and the compass and whatever else. Happy to report everything is working ok and not one fuse has blown. I would suggest to not give into the temptation to put in a larger fuse to cure any other problems. The circuit is designed for 500 milliamps so don't create other problems by going to a larger size. Thanks. *BW*

Hey Barbara, think you could send that to me as well cause I don't really want to go with a larger fuse if it can possibly cause other problems.

kratg@yahoo.com

Thanks,
Dan
