Default Pacifica, quicker than you think?

My Pacifica runs pretty quick - actually a lot quicker than I perceived from behind the wheel. I followed my wife (who was driving the Pacifica) in my 2003 VW Jetta with the 1.8t turbo (Audi engine) and the Pacifica kicked the Jetta's butt and my wife didn't think she was driving fast at all. I think there's a perception thing going on with everyone, because I too thought my Pacifica was kind of a dog. Not anymore. Especially since I thought I was driving the Jetta fast, but it also sits a lot closer to the ground than the Pacifica, that in itself gives the perception of higher speeds.

I need to correct myself....the Pacifica didn't exactly kick the turbo Jetta's butt, but it definitely held its own. It was a chore for the Jetta to keep up with the Pacifica.

The 3.5L engines in the Pacificas are the same engines used in second GEN Dodge Intrepids. 1998-2004.
