Default RE: problems after refueling

I have owned my Pacifica for almost 3 years now, and this just started happening to it. I just now started to notice the gurgling noise when filling up. It then runs very rough almost like a misfire or rough shift on the transmission type symptom. I have tried dry gas after the second time doing it, thinking water in tank. I have had it to the dealership and they said I needed an update, did that and still acts up. I thought maybe it was a pressure issue so I opened the gas cap and closed it and it didnt act up. It will only do it when I fill up more than 3/4 tank. I fi I fill up less than that it wont do it. It is only after I fill up and only last about 2-4 miles down the road until it goes away until next fill up. Please help!

Have you had any problems with the fuel gauge not recognizing the correct amount of fuel in the tank? There has been a TSB in the past relating to the fuel pumps, gauge and stalling. Maybe ChryslerTech can chime in and give you more info.

I have an 05 Pacifica with te fuel gauge problem not recognizing the correct amount of fuel in the tank. At the same time of this problem, the tank won't take gas at the pump. You have to milk it really slowly. So far, 2000$ later, Chrysler has changed the two fuel sending units and the entire gas tank! Still no luck... They claim there is no TSB on the 05 for this problem.

Ok so I got an answer from a chrysler tech on justanswer.com. I replaced the fuel vapor canister $80 bucks and the problem is solved. It literally took 10 minutes to change. He stated it was caused from topping off when filling up. Hope this helps.

Would change it too if I could get confirmation that it would solve the rough idle/stalling after full tank fueling
Thank you !
