Should I get a 2007 Pacifica
Hi there. I was recently introduced to this website by my dad and from what I can tell, it is wonderful. I am currently looking at buying a 2007 Pacifica Touring. I was just wondering if anyone has an opinion either way and why. I commute about 40 miles each way to work, mainly highway. Would this be a good, dependable car for me? Right now I have a 2005 Dodge Stratus (this is actually my second one, I had a 1999) and I love it but just ready for change. I have everything I need and want with my car, but still looking. Any opinions will be greatly appreciated and helpful.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Most people have great luck with them, a few don't. Make sure when you test drive yours you check ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING to make sure it works, and pay careful attention to any abnormal noises, such as front end noises, and make sure the tranny shifts nice and smooth.
They are great well engineered vehicles, I've rebuilt 2 of them after front end accidents and they are quite tough.

I bought my wife a 2007 Pac Touring Oct "07. We drove it to Texas from South Dakota in Feb and were well pleased with the room and comfort. Mileage got as high as 27 on the road. Be sure to check if the service bulletins have been taken care of. I had them replace the torque converter on Chryslers buck and the six speed now shifts much better. Be sure as Sarge say's to buy the V6 4.0 with the 6 speed auto. We are now about to embark on a 7,000 mile trip from South Daktoa to Alaska and return. Watch this site.
NO.
trust me I am just one of a lot of people that have had many, many problems with it. Check out this site and read every post before you buy it.

I have an 05 Pacifica and have had zero problems, 35,000 miles on it now. After I bought it I began to worry as I started reading horror stories about the car, but I've been pleased so far. It will always be hit or miss with any vehicle. I would consider pre-owned that has documented service from the dealer, these things lose value quick.
