Should I get a 2007 Pacifica
Well I am glad that you don't any problems with your 05 and 06 pacs. However the question was if he or she should buy a 07 pac. That is why I answered NO, and provided a site for research. A lot of 07 pacs are just pure junk.
Hotss,
You sound bitter. You can go and buy any car and the
transmission or engine go on you the next the day, that is
just the way it is. I have had to do repairs on my caravan
I never thought I would have to do, and I am not a mechanic. But I can't afford to take it to one, so I deal
with it and use the internet and these forums to help me do the repairs. Sounds like you just got a lemon, and you have
to know when to cut your losses. The only thing they really changed in the 07 was the engine to a 4.0.

gbeach-
Bitter, no not really. I used to have a 07 pac that was a total lemon. Chrysler finally bought it back and now I drive a great 08 Aspen. When you say " the only thing that changed in the 07 was the engine and tranny "; to me that is pretty major. The tranny is now made by mercedes, and they have had lots of problems with it. Did you go to the site I linked him to? Did you read all the posts? If you did then you would know why I am trying to help this person have more info than I had before I bought the 07 pac. I am trying to help someone not go through what I did. Even if he decides to get a 07, yes he might get lucky and get a good one. What I suggest to him is write down the vin # of the one he is interested in and call the service dept of his local Chrysler and find out when it was built. There are more problems with the pacifica's built during a certain timeframe.

Meh, you're always going to find a site of whiners like that for any car, after reading through a few pages, it looks like most of those people got their problem fixed with either a new tranny or torque converter.
