Default Size of EGR Tube Bolts?

Hello - attempted to change the EGR valve in my 2005 Pacifica with 3.5L. I got both of the lower EGR Tube bolts out (where they attach to the EGR valve itself) and dropped one, which must have gone into some black hole because I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know the size of this bolt, other than that it has an 8mm head?

I also couldn't get to the 10mm bolts on the EGR valve itself, even though it looks deceptively accessible. I'll have to look for some additional tools for that. So for now I have a failed job, and am now missing one of the two bolts in the tube.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Since you have one bolt, try it in the other hole and see if it fits. If so, get another one like it. If too small or too big, buy accordingly.

I thought of that, didn't want to have it fall into the black hole while removing it, so I thought I'd ask if anyone knew the specs.

I recently lost a bolt on mine as well and went hunting for the info too. It's absolutely a black hole for tools and bolts under the EGR in the older pacificas.

The EGR tube bolt appears to be an M6x1x21.3 (a 20 should work), and the mounting bolts appear to be 28 mm M8 bolts.

Also, cut a piece of cardboard or cereal box panel to slide under this valve while you work on it, since ratchet extensions, sockets, and bolts all like to drop down under the engine with almost no hope of recovery.
