Default Steering Wheel Controls

I just purchased a 2006 Pacifica touring Edition. I replaced the radio with a aftermarket head unit/radio. I installed Axxess aswc-1 so I can continue to use the steering wheel controls. I followed the wiring instructions. No success. Their tech support are to busy being arrogant to actually help. Has anyone had any success with this?

I have one that came with my aftermarket android headunit that works fine.
Try disconnecting the battery. Newer cars can be weird when it comes to hooking up new electronics.

I installed the stereo, the site I bought it from wired up the adapter so that it was a simple plugin to hook it up.
