Default U-Connect random reboots

I have a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Touring L AWD. For the past few months, it will reboot randomly on long drives (2hr+). Once it starts, it will reboot repeatedly every few (15-45) minutes for the remainder of the drive. I took it to the dealer today and they said it is 3 versions of updates behind. They assume all problems are software related. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Our normal state is android auto running, two phones connected.

Hi remoteinsanity,
Please send us your VIN and software version so we can look into this. Thank you.

When I try to send a PM, I get the following error message. Is there an alternate way to connect with @ChryslerCares ?

, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I sent the above to Chrysler Cares Facebook page. I got back the following mindless auto-reply.

Hi Andy, thanks for reaching out. After further review of your VIN, it appears you have the latest version of Uconnect installed. Have you attempted a soft or hard reboot of your Uconnect system? If not, we're here to guide you through the steps to reset your software and potentially resolve the concern. Feel free to let us know if you would like assistance with the process. My 2023 does all kinds of wonky things. It's been doing them since I got it in April of last year. Some times it just shows a blank, black screen and although the heater, AC and other things respond to the buttons, nothing is showing on the screen. I can get it to reboot by holding down the radio power button for 10-20 seconds, but it's never been completely reliable. The dealer has been useless of course. I've got all kinds of repair receipts showing "Cannot reproduce problem". I've given up on that dealer and will never visit that dealership again!

The van itself runs quite well and is extremely quiet and smooth. The engine start/stop feather however is definitely not ready for primetime. The first thing I do after starting the van is to press the button turning off the start/stop.

I've got a neighbor with a 2022 and really liked the tail lights that went all the way across the back. When I got my 2023, I thought something was wrong with it as a couple of sedctions of the red tail light didn't come on with the regular tail lights. Then I found that Chrysler (Stelantis) has done some confounding and curious 'dedontenting' on thje 2023. To save a tiny amount of money, they left the bulbs out of the inner/upper sections of the tailights on the tailgate. It looks weird without that part of the tail lights unlit at night. The passenger power seat is gone and is now manually adjustable. The self-darkening rear view mirror is gone, as is the garage door remote control from the driver sun visor.

Another curious thing is that you cannot turn off the radio without turning off the entire center panel on the dash. You just can turn the volume all the way down on the radio to keep the panel running. Weird!

I may try disassembling enough of the tailgate to see if they just left the bulbs out of that part of the tail lights, or if the wiring is also gone. I suspect that will be the case. I will probably look into either buying a 2022 lidht panel or seeing if I can modify the current one so the tail lights are completely lit. If someone has already tried that, I would be interested in finding out how you did the job.
