Default Weird clunking noise coming from the front end

I had the front brakes done on my '04 Pacifica about a month ago. Stops like a dream now, and no squeaking coming from the pads. But I've noticed that when I go over rough pavement/potholes/or even railroad tracks, I hear a clunking noise coming from the front end.

I did some searches and have seen some probable causes (lower and upper control arm bushings, loose struts, etc.). I am going to check things over tomorrow morning to make sure there isn't anything obvious.

But here's where it gets strange. If I go over that same rough pavement and apply the brakes very lightly (not heavy enough to even slow the car), the noise completely disappears.

Any ideas?

While you're under there looking around, grab the calipers with both hand and give them a good shake. If you feel any looseness, take it back to where you had the brake work done and have a chat with them.
Other than that, "weird noises" are basically impossible to diagnose over the internet.

Will do. I definitely think it's in the calipers, because the noise completely disappears when I lightly apply the brakes.

I know what you mean about diagnosing weird noises over the internet! But nonetheless, I appreciate the help on this one.

Based from what you mentioned, try to check the stabilizer links as well.
