Default What Is That Smell?

08 Pacifica with 2,500.00 miles and it smells like something is burning. The dealer says the front right transaxle seal was leaking. Yup, I kinda figured when I saw the red oil dripping off the exhaust pipe. Seal replaced and I still have the smell. Can it be the residue NOT cleaned off by the dealer or is there other items I should consider?
Thanks for any input

Default RE: What Is That Smell?

If the repair was just done recently, it certainly COULD be the leftover junk on the exhaust pipe. But that should only last a couple days if you drive the vehicle regularly, before it's all burnt off. If the smell remains then it sounds like something else is leaking and burning...
