Default 09 radiator replacement

Long time reader lurker first post though. Really loke the forum. Did a search and did not find any info, so I'm looking for help.
2009 Cruiser basic car automatic with a/c.
Daughter hit a big raccoon and tore up the bumper cover and busted the radiator. We have gotten the bumper cover off but I am looking for advice on the radiator. Does the a/c have to be drained? Is this a take it to the shop problem?

Thanks.

All ways a good idea. I do need to do that. Also looking for some experienced input from you guys who have "been there and done that."
