Default 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser engine lit on P0551

When I was driving my cruiser, check engine light came on suddenly. Code on my odometer shows P0551, which indicates power Steering Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance. I checked the power steering fluid, no clue of leaking so far.
Is it a big deal? Is it safe for driving before I bring it to the dealer? I have to drive to work everyday and don't have much free time during working days. Thanks!

Hi from the UK. Sorry to sound daft, but this switch on the rack, is this the sensor switch on the power steering itself? Really sorry my mechanical know how is limited to landrovers and ford vans.

just did mine a few weeks ago, the power steering pressure sensor is on the left side underneath and has a connector on it with 2 wires..the sensors are a weak link with mopars, mine leaked, but I had a neon that had the same code and had to replace it, rock auto was worth the wait on the price difference
