Unhappy 2006 PT Cruiser- Crank No Start

I have a 2006 PT Cruiser with 109k. I just did the Timing Belt & Water Pump setup. I went to start the car after completing the job, but the car did not start. I noticed that the fuel gauge was reading empty, but the car had gas in it. The car will run if I spray starting fluid in the throttle body. I made an access hole in floor after watching a Youtube video to gain access to the fuel pump. I checked with a test lamp to see if I had power, and I did, so I replaced the pump. Still the same problem. After seeing people online discuss about the fuel pump relay going bad, I went after that. Unfortunately, 2006 seems to be the start of the notorious TIPM. I purchased a reman TIPM, and followed the instructions about the 12 second reset. Well, the "BRAKE" light stayed on, so I did an overnight reset by disconnecting the battery cables. Meanwhile, the car still doen't start. The next day, after reconnecting the cables, the car still doesn't start. I noticed the horn doesn't work either now. After more online research, I read that it was possible that the crank position sensor could be the culprit. I replaced the sensor, but still it doesn't start. I'm suspecting that I could possibly have a bad reman TIPM, but could also the PCM be having problems? Does anyone outhere have any concrete ideas? Thanks!
