Hello my name is Michell Im new to PT Cruiser and im about ready to sell it its giving me so many problems. i have a 02 or 04 the vin say 04 but the dealer says 02
1st Off having a start problem car wont start after sitting for a few days had a mecahic look at it and he tapped the starter and it started right up but people kept telling me that it was the starter and that eventually id have to change it. So i did come to find out the starter on the car look almost brand new. the car ran good for about a month but last weekend i get in it to go to the store and it wont start i tried several time to crank it but nothing all the light and radio was on so its not the alternator but just as i was about to go inside i went to get a ig stick and i tapped on the starter and the car started right up. does anyone know why it does that?

2nd the check engine light pops on and i have it checked at Autozone and they pull up three codes P0700, P1775, and P2075 all having something to do with the transmission. what i want to know is this from changing the starter because i noticed after the mahanic changed the starter it was hard to shift into drive as before there were no problems. Will i have to change the transmission.
