Angry No heat

2004 PT Cruiser, non turbo. Have no heat. Replaced thermostat with 195 degree. Flushed heater core out. Made sure anti freeze level is correct. Still only get slight heat. Temp gauge will go up half way, hear electric fan for radiator go on but still no heat or very slight. It gets cold in New Jersey and can really use heat.

Are the hoses leading to the heater core hot? If not, you probably have a plugged heater core. If they are hot, then you might have a problem with the blend door in the plenum chamber not functioning. There are several possible cause for that, including a problem with the control head, the body computer, the wiring or the motor that operates the blend door.
