Default Problem with heater

The heater has stopped blowing air out of the lower setting and the air that is coming out of the upper setting feels extra hot. Is there anything I can check myself before taking it in?

1,2, and 3 work like they should when I have the upper blower on, but not the lower blower that blows on your feet. Does that still sound like the resister? It's a 2007. So, I take it this is a commom problem
