I have a 2004 chrysler pt cruiser.
I bought if a girl and her mom. Was told needed a starter. I've replace said starter battery altenator spark plugs spark plugs wires and both oxygen sensors.. Sometimes stupid car will run like she would. Some days the engine light will come on for code p0032 and p0038. I am out of ideas for this car. I can't afford a shop anyone got any ideas???

 

Did you replace the O2 sensors with OE,NTK, or Denso? Bosch and some auto parts store varieties do not play well with Chryslers so their use is not suggested

 

Hi, bought my PT with the same issue. found it to be a bad PCM. bought a replacement (programmed to my VIN) to get it running and went from there

 

The car's not stupid. more likely it's been poorly maintained.
since both codes relate to the heater control circuit, first place I'd look is ground connection.
