Turbo or No Turbo?

Turbo or No Turbo?
This is the question.
I have purchased 2007 PT Cruiser used. It does not say TURBO on the rear door, but the engines whines at 2500 RPM and higher. It came on 16" alloy wheels as well, that tells me that the vehicle is probably not a basic model.
How can I find a turbocharger under the hood? Is this that plastic manifold blocking access to the sparkplugs with some piece of equipment on the top? Can someone share expertise?

RE: Turbo or No Turbo?
Thanks Moe,
The color is Marine Blue, you are right.
I was thinking that may be (just may be) between first sale in March 2007 and me buying the car the engine was changed for some reason. But I guess in that case it would have said TURBO on the top. I can still hear some whining noise. It could be tires. I am driving on MICHELIN Alpine winter tires.
And thanks a lot for your help!
Happy New Year!

Turbo connects to the exhaust manifold at back of engine..
The simplest way is to check the vin . yes its alwaya poaible Tbe engine was swapped but highly unlikely. If your hearing a whining noise while driving our PTs are famous for wheel bearing issues
