Default '02 T&C - Wiper Motor Stuck On

Won't shut off, even when I pull the key out and yell at it.

Any ideas?

Do a reboot....Pull neg terminal for 20-30 mins...Then refit by twisting terminal back on...

That happened to my van also, the wiper relay was stuck in the closed position so I replaced the relay.

Before pulling the ground, I found the two relays for the wipers and switched them around. Works fine. Just for fun, I switched them back. Works fine. Ugh.

No codes to indicate a bad motor. Though I suppose it won't necessarily throw a code?

How do I test a relay?

I found a youtube video showing me how to test the relays. They're fine.

So, I have an intermittent issue.

Now what?

Looks like the contacts in your relay were temporarily welded or burn together. Pulling power would sometimes open them in your case they did. Change relay and lubricate wiper mechanism incase its over powering.

Thank you for your help!

We did a 6 hour road-trip yesterday, and while it wasn't raining, our wipers weren't running either.

Have a great Sunday, guys.

God Bless,
Jennifer
