I have a 2005 Town & Country Signature Series - which we really enjoy. A small, annoying problem cropped up though.

The rear liftgate (non-powered) will not open when the doors are unlocked, and you try to open it by pressing the button. The only way to open it now, is to unlock the liftgate with the key.

Any suggestions, as I don't have a clue as to where to start.

Try checking the Fuse for the rear door lock, and the lock release actuator or how ever it is spelt.

 

there is no fuse for that electrically it wont lock or unlock? more then likely a door lock actuator
