Default 05 T&C Transmission issue?

My 05 Town and Country with about 88k miles has developed a noise on moderate to heavy acceleration that seems to cut off immediately when the transmission shifts at about 35-40 mph. I have cochlear implants in both ears so I can't really define the noise real well or pinpoint where it might be coming from. With the hearing aids, I have no sense of direction as far as noise is concerned.
I've just ordered a filter kit and fluid to service the Trans and see what's in the pan but wondering if there are any common issues with that transmission I should be aware of, orany other common issues to check.
TIA for any good advice.
John

EDIT: Pulled the pan on the trans and found nothing to indicate a problem in there. A little fuzz on the magnet, but nothing unexpected for 84k miles. Finally found the source of the noise as the bolts holding the exhaust pipe to the front bank manifold had been left loose by the PO and had fallen out or backed off enough to allow the gasket to get blown out of the joint. If you ever want to really try your patience, try to replace that gasket.
