My '06 has 36,052 miles on it and it misfired on cylinders 2 & 4 this morning. It shook at first then I turned it off and let it sit for a bit, it is fine now,but check engine light is still on. Any ideas what I should do?

 

how did u know what cyl the misfire was on and what is the code for the CEL? Contact the dealer if u have good repore with them u might get it taken care of

 

I took it to Adavance Auto Parts and they hooked it up to their machine. I'm not sure what the code numbers were. It doesn't seem like it is misfiring at this point, but the light on the dash is still on. Is there a way to clear that and see if it comes back on again? Thanks for you reply.

 

if u clear it with out knowing what it was u may never know if the prob is gone then when ever it came on if the computer sees that what ever the code was set on sees 3 good trips or times that what ever set code of is no longer then it will turn it off. for u. Drive it for a week or so.
