Default 08 t&c 25mpg avg??!

Just got the egr replaced on my 08 t&c at 70k and was in our service agreement. We used to get an avg of 14 to 15 mpg consistently for the last year. After a new egr, cleaned throttle body, and updated computer, its avg jumped to a high of 25mpg and low is no less than 16mpg. Of course hitting the mpg reset seems to make it more "unstable". If my lows are 16 and my highs are 25, that to me seems like a huge improvement. Am I pretentious?

I take it this is for general travel, here there and a bit motorway.
I'm on 32mpg mostly motorway but I expect to get below 30 running about.

Since I'm new on here, I can't see your profile. Are you driving a 3.8 liter too? I'm guessing you have a smaller engine. I want one of those for my business; they are hard to find.

Our mileage just bounced back to 16 and a little less for about half highway and have suburbs. We drive light footed now that there is the mpg indicator which reveals our driving habits to my accountability partner(wife) ha ha.

Maybe the avg just balanced out from a day or two of data collection. I'm guessing the number will improve dramatically again if I hit the reset but was wandering if it was something do e when the computer was "updated".

Goggs I assume from his tagline is here in the UK. You are here in the USA. Goggs drives a Grande Voyager 2003 CRD Diesel - you I assume drive a 3.8 petrol.

Whilst we do have petrol Voyagers in the UK most, I guess in excess of 90% of them, will be Diesels with a mixed use average of about 32+MPG.

Yes did it again, didn't put my cars model in. But 25mpg from a petrol 3.8, that's very good.
That's one thing I forgot to check, I tested my car on motorway and fast B road and got 32mpg. Computor showed 38mpg...Ahhh, now I'm thinking, is computer showing US mpg...
Car has showed 40...42...and 47 on a real long run on Computer.

HiYa Goggs,

Quick Links / edit your details / edit your sig line etc. Good point about the US/MPG conversions. I had a Fiat for years, but at least we all knew it converted MPG from the US standard
