Default 1996 Town and Country Stalls When AC is on

My 1996 Town and Country Van has recently started stalling each time you turn the air conditioner on and then the service engine soon light comes on for approximately one to two days

We have replaced the fuel filter and air filter but it continues to do it.

My mechanic has hooked it to the machine and gets no codes

Anyone have any ideas?

tell your mechanic to get a better scanner first of all cant use the cheap 50$ ones from advance auto parts. Need to find out what the code is in the computer.

both my mechanic and the mechanic at the chrysler dealership doesn't know why it is stalling the check engine light comes on but there is absolutely no code when they hook it up to the machine

Has anybody looked at the idle air control motor? The computer adjusts the idle speed through the idle air control motor to compensate for things like air conditioner and power steering loads. If it's not working, the car is likely to stall as you describe.

that's BS if the light is on then there will be a code in there for 45 starts.
as for the stalling it is more then likely the compressor is locking up when u turn on the ac.
