Default 2.8 CRD Serpentine belt without aircon

Grand voyager 2.8 CRD

About 9 months ago my air conditioning compressor seized solid and melted the clutch. At the time I couldn't find any reasonably priced second hand ones. So to keep the vehicle mobile I bypassed the aircon compressor pulley using a shortened serpentine belt.

It took a couple of attempts to get the right length but it did work, done about 15,000 miles like it. It runs close to one of the timing chest bolts but its ok.

The belt you need is 6PK 1285 ie 1285 mm long and the same 6 grooves.

Hope this helps someone.
