Go to your local auto parts store and ask for the headlight restoration kit. Apply as per directions, and you will have clear headlight covers again.

Gee, it worked for me.....I just followed instructions and it worked fine! And a lot less cost and work than removal/replacement.

I had also tried several "other" things, like rubbing compound, etc., but they did NOT work.

You could also try Wipe New -- Wipe New® Car Surface Restorer - As Seen On TV | Official Site -- look like the same kind of chemical solution.......

I hope not, but will soon see....am in Arizona, and this one is parked outside in the blazing sun and heat.

I figure it took a long time to 'fuzz up', and it already has 180,000+ miles on it, so it just might last...<G>

Directions say no high speed buffer!

Was the commercial grade "stuff" formulated specifiably for this task, or? I had also tried the rubbing compound w/buffer, etc...no joy.

This is different - at least so far....<G>...cannot say with 100% confidence it will be fine in 6 months or a year...or more.....but the van is 12 years old now....

Check the link I gave in my first response......www.getwipenew.com

The stuff was designed to polish out clear plastic for body shops.
The stuff u have of course says no buffer because what normal person has a buffer on hand? not many.
