Default 2002 Chry Town Country - Starting

Morning!

More often than not, starting about a month ago, when I attempt to start the van, it does nothing, no ticking or the starter attempting to start.

I pull the key out and attempt again and it starts. Some times it takes a couple times to get it to start.

Any idea what would cause this?

Hi well we won't go into fuel pumps, filters and injectors with this one as its power to starter related. Try cable connections to starter first as I've got a feeling its the control wire at the solenoid that's either slack or just touching.

Pull the starter relay. Check for 12vdc at pin 86 on the relay socket as you turn the key to start. Should see it everytime. Pin numbers are on the bottom of the relay. If it's not there you have a bad ignition switch or connection at the switch or, and I have to say it, the internal connections in the IPM may be corroded. It has a history.
