Evening!

So on the way home from work my wife was driving about 65 mph.

She braked to slow down for some mergers and when she pressed the gas to speed back up her rpms shot to 7000 and her mph dropped to 40.

she pulled to the side of the road and called me. i had her do the test of putting it in drive and stepping on the brake and gas to be sure she still could get going. she could and she hung up.

when she got home she said everytime she got to 40 mph the rpmwould go to 7000 and she would let off. so she couldnr get above 40.

we just had a new transmission put in at the end of feb. no check engine light for this issue.

any ideas of what this might be?

Im going to take it out and test it myself once rushhour traffic is gone.
