1st 2nd 4th & 5th & reverse are easy to get in to gear but 3rd not so great il try to explain if you have your pam on top of gearstick and want to change up to 3rd or down from 4th the gear just grinds but if you push it in to 3rd from second or 4th to 3rd with hand behind gear stick as if your pushing it in it goes in 80% of the time but wont if hand on top of gear stick what do you think ??????

 

I have a very similar issue with 3rd gear but only happens when i change down from 4th to 3rd, 80% of the time there is no trouble and can go weeks with no issue but then it will happen say 4 times in 1 trip, my issue is that it pops out so have to quickly repress the clutch and the 2nd attempt always works. I think it is a common problem with the manual gearbox, i checked my fluid and topped up with ATF+4 but it hasn't made any difference for me.
