Unhappy 2004 middle captain chairs placement

I have a 2004 chrysler town & country with captain chairs in the middle row.
I have twin boys and they have rear facing seats. I have to move the front seats ALL the way forward for the car seats to fit in properly.

Is there a way to move the second row back?
Is there something that I am doing wrong?

seems very weird that a van wouldn't have room for two rear facing cars seats.

thanks,
Mike

Default

There is no bar under the front of the captains to slide the seat back? We have the sto and go and those seats move back.
BTW,, we have twin girls (3) and 5 year old boy. The van is a must and much for functional for us than our previous ride.. the Pacifica.

Default nope no bar

nope they are stationary. I thought it was very unusual not to have a bar to slide back and forth.

has anyone else run into this?
