Yep it was the first thing i did.
There is no engine management light on either.
As i say car is fine but just wont go into any gear?
Car revs to 2500 rpm in park and neutral as expected and and in drive and 3 up to 9000 rpm.

By the way im from Scotland.

You need to get it scanned for fault codes.

Do i need to get this done by the main dealer or would the local garage be able access the codes?

Your local garage probably won't be able to read the codes although it is worth a try. It's likely you'll have to get the dealer to look at it.
