Default 2005 T&C Transmission - Do I have Traction Control?

So my Tranny is having issues…. At 344k miles, I’m not surprised.

I had the engine replaced at ~185k, and am considering replacing the transmission with a junkyard pull.

the only issue is I need to know whether the vehicle has Traction Control….and I’m honestly not sure.

How do I find out?

Below is the VIN # if that helps. I plugged it into a couple of VIN decoders and have gotten mixed results…2C8GP64L85R433563

and….do I HAVE to get a transmission that has Traction Control? If I don’t have to, but the vehicle came with it, what does that really mean for me electrically/mechanically? Obviously I know it means I won’t have that feature, but how big of a deal is it aside from that?

Thanks!

Jonboy

Traction control is in the ABS brakes not transmission if you have trac control there will be a button on you dash to turn it on and off.

i understand that, but for some reason the website I am looking at for getting a new transmission makes a distinction, which also affects the price. As soon as you put in the year, make, model, and that you want a transmission, you are prompted not only for the engine size, but also whether the vehicle has traction control. I’m trying to understand why that matters? If I change the year model to 2006, I am only asked for the engine size….

Be aware if you change the transmission you will (I believe) also have to either reprogram or replace the transmission control module?
