Recently my sliding door on my wives van has started messing up. Pretty sure it’s broken wire in the harness below the door. I can find tons of videos on how to fix the harness but everyone of them show exposed wires in the harness. Mine has a nylon covering on it so I can’t search for breakage in the harness wiring. Any suggestions why mine has nylon covering and how time remove it for the repair?

 

Use a razor blade to split it in half can tape ot up after words
