Default 2007 Grand Voyager Gearbox OK?

I have just bought a 2007 Grand Voyager, my first ever Chrysler. I really like it but have a few worries. It is a 2.8CRD Auto box. At 2000 rpm it does 56 mph. That ration seems very low to me and makes me thing it is not going into top gear. Could anyone with the same engine and gearbox confirm what speed they doing at 2000 rpm please.

Stop grumbling. At 2000rpm and 56mph., 4000rpm would mean 112mph. Can't see anything wrong with that.

Thanks Leedsman, I was not grumbling, just concerned at the low ratio but turns out that is just what it is and gearbox is fine. I have since traded it in for a 5th gen 2010 Voyager Limited which at 2000 rpm does about 70mph, a more 'normal' ratio in my experience. Cheers.

The 41TE is 4 forward gears, the 5th Gen 62TE is a 6 speed transmission.

Hello Everyone,

I've just acquired a 2000 Grand Voyager 2.5 LE TD and what a joy to discover the Chrysler Forum.

Looking to do the first piece of essential maintenance, which is gearbox oil/fluid change, so I'd love to get the service manual for the model / year.

In the helpfully provided links by members I've found on here include a Russian language version here but I can't find an English or (up to) 2000 for the Grand Voyager 2.5 LE TD?

So does anyone please have a different link / or this manual electronically for the Third generation (1996–2000) Grand Voyager 2.5 LE TD manual transmission?
