Unhappy 2007 Town and Country, less than 35000 miles, engine failure

I am trying to see if anyone has had any similar problems with a Dodge or Chrysler van with low mileage. The engine in a van this young should NOT have had a broken rod. I have only owned it 7 months. I am looking to force Chrysler to begin an investigation for a recall. If anyone else has had similar trouble, please let me know.
Thanks!
Jen

Apparantly because it was bought before July 07 originally, it is only covered by the 3 year 35,000 mile warranty... ran out in Feb.
