Default Wont start when left for less than an hour

Hi Peeps, 2003 2.5CRD Manual cant find my original post but had this problem start from cold no probs, Drive get up to temp then if left for less than an hour it will crank over as if no comp and after about 5 mins of trying and waiting it will fire up and drive fine, if left over the hour its fine, done the key dance and got the code for camshaft sensor bank one, so I replaced the sensor removed battery earth had a cup of coffee and reconnected, code went, started OK, was OK for a couple of days then back to same problem same Code, Let a British Mechanic(I live in France and the French just don't want to know or charge a Kings ransom) try to interrogate the fault codes and it was as he thought the car would not let him, apparently he has had this problem with Chryslers before??

Has any one had similar? if so PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE Help

If you'll note on here, Camshaft sensor twins with Crankshaft sensor so renew both if this code comes up. As it heat related it sounds like a sensor fault or wiring.

Thank you for that, any idea where Chrysler decided would be a good place to hide it?

Default Engine sensors

Relates to 2004 2.5CRD Chrysler manual.

No 2 is Crank sensor.
No 9 is cam sensor.
Picture doesn't help much in positioning.

Eventually changed the Cam Sensor as the suppliers say I need to physically look at the crank sensor to see if it has a tail, so will do that when the temperature dies down currently 38c in the sunny South of France, on a 2003 2.5CRD they say both were fitted Ho Hum, but touch wood the Cam sensor has Cured it Famous Last Words

38c South of France, don't want to be there I bet. Nice rain and cool lightening back in blighty to keep you cool.
Saying that I can remember swimming in the sea at Agde when it was pissing rain when we were down there with the Motorhome.

We went on the boat trip up the Canal du Midi from Agde to Marseillan 3 years ago. 4 1/2 hours for less than €14 each, with a glass of wine and an oyster included. Great trip and great value for money.

I had a similar problem on my merc w202 diesel. When left for an hour or so would be very difficult to start. It turned out it was letting in air into the pipes and once this was fixed all was well again
