Default 2007 voyager alarm issue

Hi to all of you,
Iam in need of some help or advice about factory fitted alarm system.
Basically I have an issue with the fob not switching off the alarm.
I have to reset the alarm by disconnecting the battery, reconnecting and set to run mode with the key.
I works okay for a couple of days and it does the same again.
I wonder if the module regulator is at fault.
If I would change the regulator, does the new modulator needs programing?
Also where is the regulator located?

Thank you

I had it happen on my 98 GV and my cousin had it happen on his 2004. He just left his disconnected by I replaced the actual sounder unit which is located under the left hand headlamp with a one from the junk yard. However, although this did cure my issues it only lasted for about 7 months. I switched it out again and again it worked for a while but when it failed again I just left it disconnected.

How did you found out that it was the siren unit?
Did you just unplugged it in the end?

Thanks

I'd had a similar problem a few years ago with a Jaguar and had tried it on that car with a spare I had sitting around. So when my GV began having a similar issues I thought it would be worth trying. And yes I simply unplugged it.
