Default 2008 T&C front seat cushion cover replacement

Hey guys,

Going to replace the worn out, cracked driver's seat lower cushion cover and wanted to know if anyone has ever replaced this and whether it can be done with the seat still in the car or doe it have to be removed. Access to the center console side of the seat looks like it may be restricted and the seat need to come out. If yes, anything we need to be aware of during seat removal? Thanks for any help on this!

The console should EASILY remove..Look at the owners manual for that. While I have not done one in an '08, I assume you have leather with power and Lumbar In the seat back?
The least strenuous way is to remove the whole seat to do the job, not fun but not rocket science either. Just a lot of steps.. take your time , LOOK it over and be CAREFUL with bolts and wire connections.

I see in the owner's manual how to remove the center console. We have leather with 8 way power adjusts but no lumbar control in the seat back. Is it possible, then, with the center console removed to replace the seat cushion WITHOUT removing the entire seat. As you can see, we are trying to avoid that unless it's the only way to recover the cushion. Thanks.

Enjoy doing your repair, I love hearing of people knowledgeably doing things themselves!
