I have this unit:

It developed a thick green vertical line in the middle of the screen after some cold weather period.

Before bothering to replace I suspect something got loose or needs a minor resoldering. Anyone experienced similar failure.

 

Had an aftermarket one do that very same thing. Messed around with it but couldn't get rid of the line. But I'd say its worth trying anyway!

 

Worth trying a full re-boot. You'll probably need to disconnect the cars battery to do this because most head units have two feeds. Ignition and battery.
At this stage anything is worth trying.
