Default 2010 T&C EPS light flashing after van is shut off

Just bought a 2010 T&C with 26K miles and after shutting it off the Blue EPS light started flashing and has not stopped.

The manual briefly mentions this light for when the car is running, but nothing about it after it has been shut off. I also have not found anything online so far about this light coming on after shut down.

anyone else ever experience this?

You may have to have the dealer or shop check the system for fault codes. Takes a specialized scanner to read the power steering module codes. I would say you could try disconnecting the negative battery cable a few minutes as a reset but then that erases the codes. Up to you. Ill say the obvious - take it back to where you bought it. Power steering works fine otherwise right?

Just to be sure you're talking about the electronic power steering light (EPS) and not the electronic stability program (ESP) light correct?

Ugh ... it is the ESP ( electronic stability program ) light that is flashing after its off. Thanks Raptor 07.

Fortunately it does not drain the battery and I have considered disconnecting the battery cable as i have come accross that option a few times in my google searching for a solution.
