Default 2010 T&C rear noise

Hi
I have a humming/whirring noise from the rear of my van. It starts at 20 mph and increases pitch with speed, yet persists when slowing down from over 20 to 5 mph. The pitch does not change when it shifts gear. The noise persists when put into neutral. Sound seams to be transmitted inside the car because it doesn't get louder when opening windows. Noise not affected by using brakes. 2010 T&C 3.8 130K. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

This may sound simplistic but it's the result of the same kind of problem with mine - tyre pressure, I hunted around for ages until I found one tyre was very low in pressure - you could not detect it by looking at the tyre as it looked OK. ???
