Default 2012 Town & Country Check Engine Light On But No Codes

I am posting this for my daughter who has a 2012 Town &Country. She recently had a code that indicated #2 cylinder was not firing properly. She took the van in to a local independent shop to have front brakes replaced and they also did a tuneup and replaced a pollution module. Shortly after getting the van back, the check engine light came back on. I did the key dance to check for codes but none came up. Anyone have any idea why the light but no codes?

Sometimes certain codes will not show when using the key dance method. If that is done correctly and no codes show up, then take it to an Auto Zone or similar auto parts store that can read the codes by way of a scanner...they do it for FREE.

Daughter went to Autozone today and their scan brought up P0302 which was the same code that I was able to show doing the key dance some time ago but wouldn’t come up for me after the van had been worked on. It will be going back into the shop hopefully soon. I know they did a tuneup and cleaned the fuel injectors. Any thoughts on what might be causing the problem?

Code is for misfire on #2 cylinder, Bad spark plug or fuel injector on cylinder #2. Not sure how your year is designed for ignition (multipack single coil or individual coil over spark plug), but could also be a bad coil or harness connection on #2 cylinder for either coil or injector.
Good Luck
