Default 2013 T&C - strange pulley noise and Shock question

So I just purchased a 2013 T&C Touring. I'm noticing whenever I come to a stop, I can hear a high pitch whine/whistle pitching down. It lasts about 3 seconds, and is not in sync with the speed in which I'm stoping. Sounds like a pulley, but I'm no mechanic.

Another observation is that when I put any weight in the back, whether it be people, or musical equipment the rear is dropping approximately 4". Is this normal? I don't get any drop at all in my 2016 Honda pilot.

Hi lrizzo2001,

If you decide to visit your local dealership for further diagnosis I'd be happy to follow up with them for you if needed. Just PM our page with your VIN and let me know!

I took it to the dealer this morning, and they told me they aren't hearing anything unusual. and the shocks don't appear to have any issues. This is my first minivan so I don't know if it's normal for the back to drop 6" when you put 2 average size people in the 3rd row

On the noise issue. If the noise gets louder when you rev the engine, its an engine accessory. Probably your alternator or AC compressor. If you open the hood while its running and have some one rev the engine, you will probably be able to identify it. Good luck.

Seem to think of the EGR Control Valve blowing off.
