Default 3.6 L Pentastar - Is Timing Chain Replacement Required? Engine Concerns?

Is timing chain replacement required or recommend in the 3.6 L Pentastar engine used in the Chrsyler Town and Country and Dodge Grand caravan? If so, what milage or intervals? I know in several places I have read that the older 3.8 L engine did not really need replacement unless there was an issues, but I have upgraded our two minivans to the new 3.6 L Pentastar and I am concerned about this and have read in places it may be a good idea to change the chain. More input appreciated.

Also, one of the vehicles I just purchased was a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country Touring with 54,000 miles. I later read after purchase that some of the Penstar engines produced that year had issues with the cylinder and head. Should I be concerned or would that issue have already shown by this point with 54,000 miles??? Should I try to find out when in 2012 my van's engine was produced?

Thank you in advance!!!
